Alaska Travel and Tourism: Alaska Cruise 2020 😜

If you're looking to venture beyond the Caribbean this year, why not plan a trip way up north to Alaska? With more ships sailing the region than ever before, 2020 is a great year to cruise to Alaska.

Alaska Travel and Tourism: Alaska Cruise 2020

We've sailed to the region multiple times and we're here to help you find the perfect ship for you and your family.

One of our top picks for the past few years has been Norwegian Bliss, and it still remains on the top of our list for 2020.

The ship offers several unique features with firsts at sea like a racetrack and an outdoor laser tag. It's a great ship for families but also for us big kids.

The line's unique freestyle dining lets you choose when and where you want to eat with over a dozen dining options.

This includes the popular Cagney's Steak house and the Le Bistro French restaurant as well as the new QTexas Smokehouse and the Los Lobos Mexican restaurant.
At night, the main theater comes alive with the award-winning musical Jersey Boys and the brand-new stage show Six.

This mega-ship will sail the classic Alaskanitinerary from Seattle, Washington in 2020 with stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, Skag way, and Victoria, British Columbia.

Not to be outdone, Norwegian Cruise Line has added a second Breakaway Plus class ship sailing in Alaska again in 2020.

Norwegian Joy offers many of the same amenities and onboard experiences as its sister ship Norwegian Bliss.

These include some of the fastest water slides at sea as well as the Observation Lounge offering unparalleled views while you are cruising the North Pacific Ocean.

However, the ship also has some unique features of its own. Norwegian Joy is home to the Galaxy Pavilion, an interactive digital playground with virtual reality experiences, ride simulators, and other technologically enhanced activities to keep you entertained by day.

At night, you can let loose with the ship's signature show Footloose on the main stage. Norwegian Joy also offers 7-day round-trip cruises from Seattle, but it swaps out Skagway for the Icy StraitPoint on its itineraries.

The largest ship to ever cruise in Alaska, RoyalCaribbean's Ovation of the Seas offers some of the most innovative features at sea. Built for cold water cruising, the ship's Sea Plex is a massive indoor complex featuring bumper cars and rollerskating. There's also innovative Northstar.

This aerial gondola that extends 300 feet above sea level will give you one of a kind views of the Alaskan landscape. The ship also has a skydiving simulator and distinct entertainment in several different venues including the main theater, Two70, and the Music Hall.

Ovation the Seas will be offering seven-day round-trip cruises from Seattle in 2020 visiting ports that have berths large enough to handle a ship of this magnitude including Juneau, Skagway, and Victoria, British Columbia.

Always a cruiser favorite, Royal Caribbean's Radiance of the Seas will continue to sail the summer season in Alaska in 2020. The ship will offer one-way itineraries leaving from either Vancouver, British Columbia, or Seward, Alaska visiting ports including Ketchikan, Skagway, and Icy Strait Point.

In addition, the ship cruises through the Inside Passage and the Hubbard Glacier. On the Radiance of the seas, you might not even need a balcony.
The ship offers some of the greatest views of Alaska from the nine-story central atrium and outward-facing elevators.

While you cruise Alaska, you can also enjoy over a dozen bars like the signature Schooner Bar and a variety of dining including Chops Grille and the newly added casual restaurant the Park Cafe.

Celebrity Solstice sailing from Seattle makes our list again this year for one of the best Alaskan cruises.

We might be a bit biased though since we have sailed on the ship twice. On Celebrity Solstice, you can play some bocce ball at the Lawn Club or partake in a hot glass class. You can also enjoy some amazing views in the Sky ObservationLounge or sip a cocktail at the aft located Sunset Bar if the weather permits.

After a long day exploring the wilderness, you can relax in the Solarium, join in on the fun at the Crush martini bar, or indulge in some fine dining at specialty restaurants such as Muranoor Tuscan Grille.

Celebrity Solstice will offer seven day round trip itineraries with the typical stops including Skagway, Ketchikan, Juneau, and Victoria, British Columbia. Sister ship Celebrity Eclipse will also be sailing Alaska this season making round-trip journeys from Vancouver.

With the success of Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Cruise Line has begun a multi-year five hundred-million-dollar fleet-wide Celebrity Revolution. Celebrity Millennium was one of the first ships to undergo this extensive revitalization. With all the updates, this ship makes our list of the best Alaskan cruises of 2020.

Guests will love the upgrades to the cabin including the new X-hale bedding as well as the improved bathrooms. Dining has also been enhanced with updates of the menu as well as the addition of Le Petit Chef experience.

If you want to splurge, cruisers opting for suites will appreciate the newly added Retreat Deck and Retreat Lounge. Celebrity Millennium will sell northern and southern glacier routes providing one-way trips from either Vancouver or Seward, Alaska.

This itinerary will visitJuneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point as well as sail the Inside Passage and visit the Hubbard Glacier. It's tough to pick the best Alaskan cruises for 2020among the eight Princess cruise ships sailing the region this year.

Given that we're partial to mega-ships, Royal Princess makes our list. This ship will be offering one-way seven-day trips departing from either Vancouver, British Columbia, or Whittier, Alaska.

These immersive cruises offer travelers the ability to see multiple glaciers with days spent cruising the Hubbard Glacier and Glacier Bay National Park.

Along with those impressive landscapes, the itinerary includes full-day stops in Juneau, Ketchikan, and Skagway giving you more options to explore the Alaskan wilderness.

Onboard Royal Princess, cruisers can indulge in a variety of culinary treats and enjoy the cruise line's signature entertainment in the main theater as well as Princess Live! Further, you won't be able to beat the views from the SeaWalk, a 60-foot glass walkway extending 28 feet off the side of the ship.

Another Princess Cruises' ship to make our list of the top Alaskan cruises in 2020 is the Star Princess. This ship will sail ten-day round-trip voyages from San Francisco offering two slightly different itineraries.

Both stop in Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan, and Victoria. With one cruise visiting Glacier Bay National Park, while the other cruises EndicottArms and the Dawes Glacier. Onboard Star Princess, guests will find familiar favorites to the cruise line like Sabatini's and the Crown Grill specialty restaurants.
